ZERO EMISSIONS NETWORK
The Zero Emissions Network (ZEN) is a multiple award-winning air quality business liaison initiative. The network is free to join and helps businesses and residents in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Westminster and the City of London save money, reduce emissions and improve local air quality. The network offers free advice and services to switch to low emission transport with the goal of making the area a better place to live, work and visit.
The Cargo Bike Share was set up by ZEN as the UK’s first cargo bike rental service. The cargo bikes are on-street, on-demand and publicly available to businesses and residents. There are 4 cargo bike share hubs in Hackney so far, with two in Shoreditch, one in Stoke Newington and another on Broadway Market. Cargo bike share provides the solution for businesses and residents that do not have the capacity to buy or store their own cargo bike. Local businesses are provided with free cargo bike training.
The Network has over 3,000 members. The scheme addresses the growing problems of air pollution by raising awareness and encouraging positive behaviour change. ZEN has delivered 1000s of emission reducing initiatives and continues to deliver improvements in air quality.
Registering a business or household to the Zero Emissions Network allows members to benefit from bespoke advice, free trials and cash-saving services as well as exclusive invitations to networking opportunities and business forums. Members can also take advantage of the Zero Emissions Network's loyalty discount scheme ZENCARD which offers further benefits and discounts.
