ZEN's first business breakfast was a success! Businesses from across Tower Hamlets, Islington and Hackney came to the event at the stunning Aldgate Tower to talk sustainable design. Global design, engineering and construction firm Aecom kindly hosted the breakfast. Richard Hollis, Associate Director of Sustainability and Infrastructure at the company shared his experience of designing the office, with a focus on wellbeing and emission-reduction.
Clive Hartley of Clerkenwell studio Quarterre spoke on urban mobility and the role of design in shaping the way people travel through and live in the expanding urban centres of the world.
The talks were followed by vibrant discussion from businesses, focusing on their own challenges and opportunities for reducing emissions through design.
The next event is 21st March at Strongroom Bar & Kitchen. We'll be focusing on how to build a brand that communicates an organisation's values and environmental initiatives. Come along to hear from industry experts Calverts and A Marr & Associates.
There'll be plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking.
