Fixathon Repair Day
Hackney Council is hosting a Fixathon Repair Day to celebrate all things circular economy in commemoration of International Repair Day! The event will take place at Pembury Community Centre on Saturday 10th October, from 11am to 3pm.
Come along to this sustainability-focused event where you can:
- Get broken household items, damaged clothes and bikes repaired
- Learn about how to maintain and repair your items
- Take home pre-loved clothes from the Community Closet stall
- Pick up reusable baby nappies to try at home
- Have some refreshments - remember to bring a reusable mug from home!
The event is free to attend and open to all.
What we offer on the day
Repairs
Residents can bring clothes, small household electricals and bicycles repaired for free. For clothing and electrical repairs you can turn up on the day or reserve a slot in advance (recommended). Bike repairs will be on a first come first serve basis.

Pre-loved clothes shop
Community Closet CIC will be hosting a selection of their items for sale at the event. Drop in to refresh your wardrobe!
Reusable nappies
There will be a selection of reusable nappies available that you can take home for free.
Refreshments
Refreshments will be available for free. If you would like a hot drink please bring your own reusable mug.
