A FREE family-friendly bike ride is set to take place from Camden to Hackney this Mother’s Day to encourage more children and families to cycle.
Kidical Mass sets off from Granary Square, Kings Cross, at 11am on Sunday 15 March, taking a 7km route through London to Calvert Avenue in Hackney.
With music along the way, the ride is designed to be welcoming and safe for everyone. The theme is YELLOW for spring – so dressing up and decorating bikes is encouraged.
There will be feeder rides to support families to get to the start. From Hackney a feeder rider will leave from Stonebridge Gardens next to Haggerston Station (aka Snake Park) at 10am.
From 12noon to 4pm, there will be a community event in Shoreditch featuring stalls from local businesses, a bike market, street performers and workshops.
The ride is organised by Kidical Mass and iBike London, in partnership with the Zero Emissions Network.
