London's first ever Climate Action Week is taking place 1-8 July 2019. A huge range of events are planned across the capital in response to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan's recent declaration of a climate emergency.
Events are being coordinated by a diverse mixture of businesses, community groups and organisations and take the form of film screenings, talks, celebrations and forums. Topics range from the legal and policy-based approaches to climate change, to the role of schools and religious communities in creating positive change.
There are opportunities to get involved across the city. Why not head along to 'Financing SMEs and the Low Carbon Transition' at the Royal Geographical Society or 'Air (e)quality - What’s Gender, Race & Poverty Got to do with Air Pollution?' in Mile End Park.
