ZEN's third business breakfast was a success, with riveting speakers and a great turnout!
Hosted by Future Cities Catapult http://futurecities.catapult.org.uk/ (FCC) at the Urban Innovation Centre, the latest event in the series was all about the Economics of Wellbeing. How can investing in staff health and happiness save your business money?
Dr Jon Kirkpatrick, Head of Connected Cities at FCC spoke about the importance of promoting movement at work and the significant impact of lower blood sugar and poor air quality on productivity and decision making. Ideas included: standing desks, walking meetings and company breakfasts.
Victoria Page of Kin & Co http://www.kinandco.com provided insight into ways to positively engage with wellbeing at work. The audience were particularly taken with the idea of Wednesday afternoon breaks, as an opportunity to recharge batteries and increase productivity at the end of the week!
