London Walking and Cycling Conference Webinar Series

This year's London Walking and Cycling Conference is taking place online as a webinar series. Formerly the ‘Hackney Cycling Conference’, this event, which is organised by Hackney Council in partnership with the City of London Corporation and sponsored by Steer, has become a fixture in the calendar of professionals, campaigners, and elected members who are eager to explore new ideas.

The second webinar in this series will take place on Thursday 26 November at 3pm (GMT) and will focus on Walking and Cycling Whilst Black: Barriers, Policy and Progress. The event is free to attend and will last an hour. To register for the second webinar and for more information please click here

London Walking and Cycling Conference 2020 Webinar Series - Call for Papers:

Hackney Council are seeking papers for the second webinar in the London Walking and Cycling Conference Webinar Series which present new research, projects and innovations in walking and cycling from across the sector including; campaigners, academics and transport or public health professionals. These should be based on this webinar theme of “Walking and Cycling Whilst Black: Barriers, Policy and Progress”. Papers should ideally focus on both walking and cycling, although submissions that focus on either walking or cycling will be consider.

Deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on 18 November, 2020, however, early submissions are encouraged. 

Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who you think may be interested. We particularly encourage speakers from ethnic minority backgrounds to submit papers.
