We've now completed three public realm projects in Shoreditch:
Bowling Green Walk: We have opened up an important, low polltion walking and cycling route that runs parallel to the congested Old St. By removing railings, providing a better surface and adding in much more lighting we are providing a better alternative route for walkers and cyclists.
Rivington Street / Charlotte Road: This previously vehicle dominated junction has been redesigned to balance the needs of all users. There is now an open junction that gives more priority to walkers and cyclists and also provides increased greening with planters.
Garden Walk: This road has been shut at the northern end to stop the route being used as a cut through for vehicles. This simple scheme will reduce the amount of traffic travelling through this zone and also adds new greening in the form of two large trees.
