Mile End Community Project - Dr Bike

Mile End Community Project Dr Bike

Who are Mile End Community Project?

Mile End Community Project (MCP) is a not for profit organisation involved in youth work and community engagement in Tower Hamlets.

Why did Mile End Community Project get involved with the Zero Emissions Network?

MCP were keen to have a Dr bike session to encourage cycling among young people and get them ready for the spring/summer months. MCP held the event with Zero Emissions Network business and professional photographer, Rehan Jamil Photography.

How did it benefit the organisation?

The Dr Bike took place in the evening to make it easier for staff and youth from both organisations to attend and benefit from the free service. A total of 12 bikes were serviced and there were a number of free cycling giveaways and food and drink to entertain the crowd.

"The bike workshop at MCP was very good, my bike is fixed and running smoothly now thanks to the event, I would like to learn about bike maintenance so that I can fix my own bike in the future" Emdad, Mile End Community Project
